What to Expect on Your First Visit
If you are looking for a small church with a big heart – Welcome! Valley Head Baptist Church is a small-town church with a big heart and a big vision. We are here to Love Jesus, Love One Another, and Serve Our Community.
You will be warmly greeted by people just like you: people with a past; people with hurts, habits, and hangups; people who have felt the sting of guilt and shame; people who are looking for a place of acceptance without condemnation or judgment. Attendees dress comfortably, anywhere from casual to business casual.
Sunday School – our version of small-group Bible study – begins at 10:00 AM, and there is a class for all age groups, taught by people who take God’s Word seriously, but themselves, not so much.
There is a nursery available for children newborn to 4 years old. Children and Youth classes are K-3rd grade, 4th grade–6th grade, and Youth 7th grade-12th grade. Adult classes include a couples’ class, Ladies’ class, and a Men’s class.
The Worship service begins at 11:00 AM. The service begins with a Welcome and Announcement time, followed by Prayer and a Call to Worship, congregational singing of primarily standard hymns and special music typically of more modern genres. The sermon is clear, simple, and Biblically based. The service usually concludes between 12:00 – 12:15 PM.
If this sounds like the kind of church you are looking for, please come for a visit. Perhaps God will lead you to join us as we Love Jesus, Love One Another, and Serve Our Community!
